OVERVIEW

surface.jpg

Topanga Canyon has a wildfire hazard of 4.05 out of 5. Topanga Canyon is located in the Santa Monica Mountains off the coast of California.

With only one road in and out of the canyon, an evacuation of all residents is estimated to take seven hours while experts say that a fire originating in the north Topanga Overlook will take 90 minutes to reach the coast.

The purpose of this project is to emphasize how at-risk Topanga Canyon is for experiencing a major wildfire event.
